Cacao: Ancient Aztec Superfood for the Heart!
Gentlemen, a healthy heart means healthy efficient blood flow. Efficient blood flow means more blood to your extremities. More blood to your extremities means harder, healthier and longer-lasting boners! One of the most incredible foods for a long lasting healthy heart is cacao, which is what chocolate is made from.
Cacao comes from the beans of a pod-fruit native to central and south America. The cocoa beans that conventional chocolate is fashioned from are roasted at a high heat which destroys the majority of the nutritional benefits. Commercial chocolate is also loaded with refined sugar, dairy and other chemicals. However, raw unprocessed chocolate is considered one of the most nutrient dense foods ever discovered. It is particularly celebrated for its antioxidant content of which some scientists claim contain the highest amount of antioxidants studied in any plant. Cacao is also go source of Magnesium, Iron, Chromium, Manganese and Zinc. This magic bean contains the natural “Bliss Chemical” anandamide, a cannabinoid endorphin that the human body naturally produces after exercise that makes us feel great (cacao is the only plant that this chemical has been found in). Contributing to its mood elevating properties, cacao contains Phenylethylamine (PEA) which is a class of chemicals that we produce in our bodies when we fall in love. PEAs also play a role in increased focus and alertness. PEAs combined with the high level of magnesium make raw cacao a natural appetite suppressant. Referred to as the “Aztec Heart Food” cacao is excellent for cardiovascular health. It contains the chemical Theobromine which dilates the cardiovascular system, making the hearts job easier. So it’s mood elevating, romance-inducing AND it lends itself to better erections! Can you think of a better “bedroom food” for men?
Raw cacao has a slightly bitter flavor similar to coffee and can be found in most health food stores The most common ways it is found is as a powder or “nibbs”(small broken pieces of the bean) or as a whole bean. Cacao powder blends easily in smoothies and juices and can be used in place of cocoa or carob powder in any recipe. One of my favorite ways to ingest cacao is by making a chocolate avocado mouse. It has the same consistency of a mouse or pudding, but instead of being full of unhealthy ingredients it is made from two amazing boner foods: cacao and avocados.
RECIPE FOR SIMPLE CHOCOLATE AVOCADO MOUSSE
Avocados are an amazing bonder food because they are high in vitamin E and Zinc. Zinc increases levels of free testosterone and protects the prostate while vitamin E improves sperm quality. What I love about this recipe is that the avocados blend perfectly to mimic the decadent nature of whipped egg and dairy which is signature of mousse.
Ingredients:
1/2 cup raw cacao powder
2 medium to large avocados
1/4 cup unsweetened coconut milk
2 teaspoons pure vanilla extract
1/3-1/2 cup raw unfiltered honey, date paste or maple syrup
