The Dick Diet Was Born!
Where did the idea of the book come from?
The idea to write a book called The Dick Diet didn’t come to me while traveling the world. The idea for the topic came to me while teaching healthy eating classes at a local wellness center in Wisconsin. For the better part of two years I taught classes on a variety of nutritional healing topics every Thursday evening. Class topics included plant-based eating, herbology, superfoods, yoga and nutritional healing. The classes were primarily attended by middle-aged women, who on a somewhat regular occasions, would bring their defiant boyfriends or husbands… against their will. These sequestered men, defiant and childish, would begrudgingly enter the classroom, sit down and demonstrate all of the obstinate behaviors of a rebellious teenager: stare at the clock, face the wall, make obnoxious noises, burp, fart, click their pens loudly, smack their gum and in every way make sure that I knew, beyond a shadow of a doubt that they did NOT want to be there.
This resistant behavior would go on until I began discussing reinvigorating effects of certain foods on a man’s lower half. The second that I began talking about the science of certain foods and herbs increasing libido and enhancing bedroom performance, the men in attendance would perk up (no pun intended…well, sort of) and dramatically grab their wives’ pens and begin attentively writing down every word that I said. “Kale salad? Cruciferous vegetables? Goji berries? Maca root? TELL ME MORE!”. I learned an incredibly valuable lesson from those sexually deficient male converts: the strength and efficiency of a man’s erection is his biggest motivator for better living. It goes hand and hand with his confidence, self-worth and sense of purpose. Not only his well-functioning penis, but the series of hormones involved that give him his sex drive and stamina. Survival and replication are quite possibly the most powerful forces in the universe and a man’s love wand is the magical instrument that makes this possible.
The book The Dick Diet was born. I wanted aging men to understand that low testosterone and erectile dysfunction wasn’t a natural part of aging. In fact, in many other countries that don’t have the standard American diet OR the standard American lifestyle, men well into their fifties and sixties are deriving maximum sexual pleasure from a variety of experiences.
I also decided to write this book, because I am a man with a penis, who just turned 40. We’re not that old. It’s not too late. I want men to know that if they clean up their diet and lifestyle they can stop stealing from their own opportunity have the life that they want and deserve.
Who is this book for?
The truth is that The Dick Diet is not just for men. It is designed for anyone with a penis or for anyone who likes penises. Women will want to read the book for the benefit of improving their experience in the bedroom as well as helping to keep their husbands alive and well into their senior years. The Dick Diet will be particularly interesting to wives and mothers since a man’s over-toxic and nutrient-deficient diet and lifestyle directly affect the health and happiness of his family and future offspring. As the time-honored phrase goes, “the way to a man’s heart is through his stomach”. Well, it goes the same for below the belt.
As I find in many cultures, women are the primary keepers of herbal wisdom and this goes for sex boosters for men as well. Even when I’ve asked male herbalist in other countries where they learned their craft, most say their mother or grandmother. This book is very much about men’s reproductive health, but still written for the benefit of, and in a way to honor, the special and sacred women to whom we all owe a great deal of gratitude.
