"How's YOUR D*ck doing?"
I was having tea with a friend who is a talented healer, natural health practitioner and experienced yoga instructor. While discussing our future life aspirations she said to me, “Ya know, the longer you write about this stuff, people are going to want to know how YOUR dick is doing”.
It had never occurred to me that people would be consuming my content and wondering about the quality and quantity of my boners…but then it made perfect sense. I am a firm believer that people shouldn’t take advice from others who haven’t achieved the results they’re looking for. I find this problem to be a trend in the diet, fitness and even the business world. People write books on health, wellness and/or financial stability, yet they haven’t achieved the vibrant health, physique or monetary success that they are selling and promoting.
So the answer to my friends question was, “My dick is doing AWESOME! In fact, aside from having satisfying virility and stamina at the age of 39, I’m happy with my physique, body fat percentage, energy levels and brain function.” My answer to this question was a direct result of three important things:
-The quality and quantity of the food that I eat.
-The quality and quantity of my sleep.
-The quality and quantity of my exercise and physical fitness.
So I felt compelled to share a salad recipe that I eat nearly every day that is loaded with foods for boosting testosterone levels, improving circulation and nourishing and improving sperm quality and quantity.
Some of the key ingredients in this salad:
Cruciferous vegetables are a diverse group of that include broccoli, cauliflower, cabbage, kale, bok choy, arugala, collard greens and radishes. Prevent prostate cancer and contribute to less thickening of carotid artery walls. They help with testosterone levels by lowering estrogen levels.
Olives and olive oil are rich in testosterone promoting healthy fats. Specifically Kalamata olives(which are used in this salad recipe) are a great source of polyphenol hydroxytyrosol which triggers the body’s production of mitochondria, the battery-pack of a cell which converts fuel into energy. So in addition to giving you better boners, Kalamata olives also funnel more fuel to your muscles which can lend itself to better stamina and a more energized and fulfilling sex life.
Tomatoes are rich in two important boner nutrient: Vitamin C and Lycopene. Vitamin C helps your body absorb iron, a vital component of haemoglobin, which carries oxygen to your working erection. The second important boner nutrient is Lycopene. Lycopene is a super nutrient for male fertility. Not only does it prevent prostate cancer, it improves sperm quality, concentration and morphology.
Pumpkin seeds are high in zinc which helps nourish the prostate gland and improve sperm quality. Low levels of zinc have been attributed to low levels of testosterone.
Hemp seeds and walnuts contain omega 3 essential fatty acid. Omega 3s are heart healthy and known for lowering cholesterol. A healthy heart and good circulation goes hand in hand with quality erections. Omega 3s are also beneficial for lowering inflammation which makes them good for keeping prostate inflammation low. Omega 3s are also essential for building healthy, longer lasting cells. Good cell integrity of our reproductive organs means they will function better and last longer as we age.
Spinach, especially when sourced organic, is very high in two important boner nutrients: folate and magnesium. Folate and magnesium are both known for enhancing, boosting and stimulating blood flow. Enhanced blood flow means better, longer lasting erections.

***A Note about choosing organic ingredients: I encourage anyone who is trying to eat according to a wholistic health program to source as many of their ingredients organic as possible. Many men in North America who are suffering from erectile dysfunction have systems that are over-toxic and under-nourished. Chemical fertilizers, pesticides, herbicides and larvicides can wreak havoc on a man’s endocrine system. Doing what you can to limit your chemical exposure will contribute to a longer healthier life and, of course, healthier longer lasting boners.
